chiller repair????

does anyone know where or who can fix aquarium chiller? seems to be a thermostat problem. called a few heating and a/c company's with no luck.

Might try an appliance repair place - someplace that fixes refrigerators, freezers, etc....

Is it "stuck" on, or will it not turn on?

If it's the former, a Ranco controller may be a less expensive option than a repair.

it's either stuck on (thermostat), or the heat portion of the chiller is broken. it would bring the tank to 74* even when addidng a heater the tank would not go above 74*. thats what leads me to think it is thermostat. i called several appliance repair shops with no luck . the controller idea is good, i was debating a timer type option but controller is even better, thanks.

Might want to post in the DIY forum. There are a few HVAC guys in there regularly, they might have an idea to help you troubleshoot or fix it yourself.
