chiller

Good point, I guess i didn't realize the sunpod went without a hood. The iceprobes looks nice though too.

I used a 72 watt peltier on my last setup. I used a computer CPU heatsink and fan and glued it all together on the back of my sump using homeade thermal epoxy. I bought this one for my new tank.

It is pretty big so I will have to go with water cooling for the hot side. And will have to use a 400 watt computer power supply!

around 760 watts = 1hp so it should do well. You will need a good temp controller. Also electricity and water should never come in contact with one another......

i just bought it I have no sump it is just a nano 24 gallon so I just can put it on the side of the glass . what do I need to set it up is there any link on how to do it. do not do to much DIY stuff
thanks glenn

Electricity and water can kill you so I don't want to give any "instructions". You can google and find all the info you need. If you cool something it can sweat and form condensation so keep that in mind when mounting and wiring it. PM me and we can talk about stuff. A larger one like that is new for me too so keep me posted on your results.

I have an iceprobe chiller on my 10g and the thing works great. Runs 24hrs a day in the summer months, competes with the heater at night to keep the tank at 78, 80 during the day. I have 130W PCs that really heat things up. Iceprobes are a good product.
