Chillers... Inline or Drop-in

Hi,

I already have a Current 1/4hp Inline Chiller... But I'm planning a new tank. I need to know what's better, a Drop-in Coil Chiller or an Inline one?

This one will be sitting outside the house in a shaded area inside a little box I will be building for it. I can either drill the wall to wire 2 hoses, or the drop-in coil.

What do you recommend? Pros/Cons for each?

Thanks,

I would do drop in. I have the 1/3hp current modular chiller and a dropin seems like a lot better idea. You wouldn't need an extra pump or plumbing for the dropin. It just seems a lot better and easier.

i prefer in line. the drop in probe insulated hose is annoying to try and get into the sump properly. having it plumbed is much easier to have the chiller where you want it. i just use a slightly larger pump to split for the refugium and chiller. works most awesomely.
