My LFS has a china wrasse that has been there for better part of a month or more. I know cause I work there and provide the care. Its a nice perk. But heres the question. Theres not a lot of info out there about this fish, Ive tried some the other alias's without luck. I do read however that this fish is not seen in the trade that often due to the fact its a poor shipper. And mostly only its Photo and such. This one is beautiful and is eating mysis and brine. I am concerned however that it might pick at my clam mantle. Anyone know much about this fish. Thanks all.

Anampses neoguinaicusis the scientific name, but you're right, there isn't much out there about it. Great looking fish. From the little info I've seen out there, it seems like this guy can get pretty big for a wrasse - up to 9"

actually, the China wrasse is often kept by clam-keepers because they prey on Pyramidellae (it's reportedly the best of the wrasses at doing so).
