Chiselin time!

I am curious as to your plan of attack for the rocks? You say you are going to cook them? How exactly are you going to do that? Very curious for my new setup too, thanks.

Throw them in a brute trash can. Cover them so that there is absolutely no light entering the can. Then do the following twice a week for a couple of months. Take the rocks out and swish them very hard for a few minutes each in three different buckets with clean saltwater to remove as much gunk as possible. empty the brute and clean it thoroughly. Fill it back up with clean saltwater and put the rinsed rocks back in.

The algae dies from no light and the rock sheds itself of phosphate. You end up with really clean rocks.
