Chiton Help! Urgent

I have a chiton in my tank which is about 3ins long.

It has spent the last 5mins spewing out white stuff that looks like white smoke!!!!!!!

Does anyone know what this is???

I can't change my water till tomorrow so if it's anything nasty I need to know now so I can get everything out and into my QT tank

Definately sounds like a reproductive event. Bump the skimmer up a bit if you can, and run some activated carbon.

I agree. I think it is releasing its gametes into the water. Skim and do a water change and everything will be fine. The only way I can see it doing harm to the tanks inhabitants is the nutrient addition.

3 inches long would be a giant stomatella.
