Do you need a chloramine block in your RO system
For Hollywood Florida?

Most cities use chormaines now. Any pool test kit can tell if you have them in your water. The difference between Free Chlorine and Total chlorine is a good indicator of how much chloramine you have.

You can test from tap and then from RO to see how much your system removes.

I live in Coral Springs and added a chloramine blocker.

Yes absolutely. I run two 1 micron carbon block filters from BRS. That is what needs to be run to remove the heavy chloramines that we have down here.

If you're going to make your own saltwater and have a big system you should consider purchasing a larger chloramine filter. Many of the small chloramine filter expire quickly (see brs videos)

I bought this one:
CRFC-BB Pentek Chloramine Reduction Water Filter

BRS sells the 20" size but if you do internet search you can find the 10" size. Mine is rated to 25,000 gal and fits in a "big blue" 10 inch housing. It should last me for years.
