What happened to Purely h2o?

Think they were out of Florida. Been out of the game awhile and upon going through my old inventory, I ran across my old ro/di system. Tried looking them up but don't seem to be around. Thought they were a strong company within the reefing community.

I've been in the hobby since the 1980s and a vaguely recall hearing about them. I haven't heard them mentioned in a long time.

Yea there site is down or they are gone. They have a Facebook page but have not posted since 2021 so I would guess they are gone.

I'm getting back into the hobby after many years away. My son is getting into it and it would be fun to start it again with him. I saved most of my gear and I have a Purely H2O optima Vision RODI series. Is there another brand of filters you guys recommend that I can use with this system or should I start looking for a new system? Thank you.

Assuming 10" cannisters, you can use any micron or carbon filter in the 10" size. I buy from either Premium Aquatics or Bulk Reef Supply.

Majority of RO filter cartridges are standardized sizes. Most at home units, including the
Purely H2O optima Vision you mentioned use 10" universal cartridges, also called 10x2s that are readily available
Company is still around though
Hope this helps!

@griss, @ C.Eymann Thank you for the info. Looks like I can reuse this unit. Can't wait to see how much has changed over the years.
