Would T 5's break the medicine down like LED and metal halides do?

CP is light sensitive. I would not run lighting while treating. Very sensitive to UV.

Thanks snorvich. Maybe you can answer this, I was going to incorporate an algae scrubber into my system. I just started CP treating. I have to wait to incorporate this until treatment is over correct?

I would definitely not incorporate an algae scrubber while using CP.

Ambient room light only is best. I actually block the sides (except for the front) of the aquarium with felt to make sure no excess light enters the tank. I do turn on a low-end CFL lamp at feeding time, but only for a few minutes per day. 40mg/gal for 30 days is the standard treatment.

Deactivate your CP, and ideally remove it first.

As with all similar type things, carbon and water changes. But as mentioned previously, UV will deactivate it.

Polyfilter will also remove it. When I remove it, I use a combination of water changes, Polyfilter and UV.
