choco star in the fuge?

my wife likes chocolate chip stars...obviously not reef safe (Im sure you all have experienced the fact that spouses only like non reef safe things)

anyways, im gonna be setting up a visible fuge (nowhere near enough space under my stand) so I thought I could toss a chocolate chip in there

it seems that they eat meaty items so Im guessing the only bad thing would be that it would eat the pods

but then I got to thinking...its not like I have any fish that eat pods anyways, so who cares

so the 2 questions are:

1. do pods do anything else besides feeding fish like mandarins?

2. any other reason not to get a chocolate chip to put in the fuge? (remember how important it is to capitalize on opportunities to get items the spouse approves of/is interested in)

Tell her they are best suited in 100+ gallons of water volume. So you'll need at least a 75 gallon tank plus sump and fuge.

 It worked for me. I didn't say 100 gallons but I did say "bigger than what we have now"

I said "This tank looks awful, everything's going to die."
Her "Why? I think it looks pretty good"
Me "Look at this algae right here, I can't get rid of it! There's just too much in this small of a tank"
Her "Well.........I don't want anything to die! Why don't you do a water change?"
Me "I did do a water change, it's just not helping. The flow is slowing down and stuff is settling at the bottom.....(a bunch of words that I knew she didn't know what they meant .)"
Her (puzzled look) "Jeff! Don't let anything die!"

Then I told her a few days later I was getting a bigger tank and at first it didn't go so well, but once it was in the process of being setup she loved it.
