Although in Marietta they have very soft water, so he should be fine. I grew up near marrietta. It was great for FW discus. Man I wish I still lived there in regards to RO/DI.

ime actually out in acworth temp but cant wait to get back only because of traffic getting to atlanta everyday for work and back. ive never tested the tds of the tap but plan too. i didnt think it mattered if i was gettign a ro/di unit. are u sayng its important as far as extending the life of the filtration media?

also where did u grow up? we might have went to highschool together.
