Pick whichever tank you can afford if you're worried about fish jumping build a screen

Personally I would prefer open top as an easy way to cool the tank. Plus you would have a lot more lighting options.

The rimless has a much more elegant look to it, and I agree about the lighting/temp. If you're planinng on buying fish that like to jump (gobies etc) maybe buy/build a screen or glasstop

I think the red sea tanks include the sump in their capacity total so make sure you understand the true DT area for inhabitants. On the size of the tank it depends on the type of fish/objective. I walked past my tank a few days ago and felt something hit me in the head, looked down and saw a fish on the floor. I have a bar goby who usually darts to down to his spot in the sand under a rock but he darted into the air and out of the tank. I picked him up and threw him back in and hes been fine. He was lucky I figured out I was hit in the head by a flying fish because I almost thought I was just splashed by a big kole tang! Whatever you decide is sure to be an adventure. Good Luck.-S

All fish can jump. It's just a matter of when.
