why not put a drain off into a gallon jug?
then cup size doesnt matter

I thought about that but it won't work only because the skimmers in my sump and a drain line wouldn't go above the tank.

Thanks. It turned out pretty good. Me and my dad worked on it for about an hour after some plan drawings and ect for it. I was kinda worried at first about cutting the cup off and trying to make our own but it worked pretty good. Ive still got some 7'' tubing left that I my try sometime to make a skimmer from.
