Chris's 120 rebuild

ammonia ...0
nitrate........0
nitrite.........0
ph........7.8 to 8.15
alk.............16
calc............640
mag.........1200...bringing it up to 1350 over the next few days

Um, your alk is not 16.........I'm surprised no one else noticed that. What test kit are you using? I'm assuming that was a typo...

As of lastnight i have no trust in my refractometer thought my tank was running 35 ppt. But to my amazement it was 30 ppt after i calibrated the refractometer ....... so i will prolly go try to just find a cheep hydrometer to help ease my mind with this.

But i tested
Alk 11 dkh
Calc 420
Mag 1350. Im working on getting the alk down to 9 ish

Little update
Got a few blue green chromis
Blue hippo tang
And a frog spawn
Today

Im thinking a pygmy filefish will be next to go in the tank to try and get rid of this aptisia

The Kleins butterfly fish was a bust when he started nippig my lps

Peppermint shrimp were a bust when they ate my acans. Only 2 or 3 left in the tank rest got caught and are now in the sump

I just feel its going to be too hard to get them with chems or a wand i was considering a laser like a 2watt 460nm blue but i have heard mixed reviews on how effective they are

Anyone have any input on the pygmy filefish

Here are some pics
