Christmas Wish List....?

So, that time of year is coming around again. If you're lucky this is the perfect opportunity to have someone else help fund your photography obsession (er, or interest).

Is there any camera gear on your list?

I'm hoping for a decent tripod and Canon 100mm 2.8 or Sigma 150mm 2.8.

A family friend of mine was on the Antarctic ship that went down last week. He lost all of his gear and was given insurance money to go wild at a camera shop.... hmmm... I could use an upgrade from my XTi...

Lots of camera gear on my list!

Battery pack for my SB-800
Bellows
A new tripod
extension tube
Lots of little stuff as well

I believe in Santa though so I have my hopes up!

Wow. That's one tough way to get new gear. I'm not sure it would be worth it. Glad everything turned out ok though.

i only have one wish for Xmas!

The list is long and the money is not :p Time for a new body- the 1DMIII is on the list. So is the new 16-35.

Much like gregr...my wish-list is long (and expensive!) and money is far too short. Becaues of this (the expensive part) everyone knows to either get me gift cards to B&H or ignore that section of my wish list.

Hoping to pick up a new flash unit here in the next couple weeks along with a new gear backpack. Other than that...gonna be a LONG wait until the next piece of gear arrives.

My wish list right now includes a 40D body, 24-105 f4L IS, and a 300 f2.8 w/2x tcon. Of course, they're also completely out of the question....

Sadly (happily? LOL), the sub 3" working distance would be a real bear with most items in my aquarium.

Well, I doubt it's going to be a lot of use for most aquarium situations, but that's what the 100mm macro is for. Right now, though, there are some copepods that I just gotta see. :)

As an update: A great big box from B&H showed up yesterday. My lovely bride handed it to me and said, "It'll be safer in your camera bag." :) And ... my camera's in the shop for a sensor cleaning. Oh, this is killing me....

Well, since January of last year I've upgraded my tripod and ballhead. I also just traded my 30D for a 5D, added a 100-400 and 17-40. I'm pretty much set equipment-wise. I would like a new vest and a B+W color enhancing filter.

I've been taking more portraiture type shots of my family lately and am starting to feel the want/need for lighting beyond my 580EX and off shoe cord. I'm debating whether to go with one or two Alien Bees or try the strobist.com route and get a cheap Vivitar flash and some Pocket Wizards. Decisions....

I just got the 40D, macro lens 100mm and the 24/105. And a nice tripod with a good ball head. So guess now I'd like a set of extension tubes. :)

I got the shot of the copepods. :)

Handheld (which is why it's fuzzy), at 3-4x lifesize. It's a great lens, but it's really hard to use. Sorry to turn this into a porn thread. :)
