Brought home a small school of Chromis a few days ago. All looked healthy and were active when they were put in the QT. One is now hovering near the bottom is not as active and doesn't seem to eat much. It appears to have an injury or infection of his mouth. The area is noticeably red and looks as if something very tiny is attached to his chin. The others all seem to be acting normally.
I did a water test tonight and the ammonia was at 0.3 mg/l. I have done a 50% water change using water from the DT which is fully cycled and healthy.
I am wondering if it could be a bacterial infection. I recall that one of it's tankmates had a similar looking condition on it's side.
Any suggestions? Is there a medication that I should use in the QT as part of normal quarantine?
