This is a current FTS....as of today...
Algaes have been growing at a steady rate since I started to dose, gorgs are looking pretty happy after my tangs nip half of the gorgs flesh off had to move them out of my display to recover

What I know I lost so far is.... Nemastoma, barbarta, blue octo. Hypnea pannosa, dragons tongue, most of my dragons breath, spinosum, sea lettuce.im sure I'm missing a few others, luckily I can get these back without looking to hard for them...except the nemastoma

Current top view... Looks a bit empty IMO,but after I'm done dealing with this algae I'll fill it back up

This is the algae I'm dealing with right now ...all over my grape algae !! I usally put the snails on top of it when I see them been working out good so far...... Size of the grape is about a basketball size ... Any other recommendations on how to control this algae,I'm also gonna get a blue urchin tomorrow to see if it will help

Thanks jraker ....
Sucks that I lost so many algaes but I'll get them going again...I'm following along on your experiment thread you have on macro's as well ..... Good experiment sounds like a lot of work thou

Few current shot...I notice the sargasum is growing at about 1/4in every other week, not sure if it's good or not but I had a couple pieces a few months ago that never grew and eventually just disintegrated so I'm pretty happen with these results

Is that the cotton candy stuff? My snails took them out. I have mini strombus and cerith snails, both reproducing in my tank. I love tiny snails for cleaning macros.

Thanks for the current photos! You've got a lot of beautiful plants! Love the string of pearls! Those you lost could come back. A lot of mine did that. And those that do are securely attached, and more natural.

Ya,thats the algae....worst ever I'll try the snails you mention at this point It doesn't hurt to try !!

Nice setup man! Noticed that my sargassum "frags" did a lot better when they had a piece of the holdfast left. I used to try just breaking off the stem but some would melt away.

Thanks fellas..... I think I'm finally winning the war on this pink fuzzy algae, for bout the past week I have been placing the turbo snail on top of the pink algae spots where are more dense mostly on the red grape and have notice a decline on the algae will post pics in a bit

Anyone have nemastoma for sale?? Or other rare algae's?

Thanks bud

Good to know about the sargassum,I haven't tried to frag any yet but I'll keep this tip in mind. You mention you would tear/rip a piece off?have you try to cut it at a angle like real plants ? I think I might have to do a little experiment in this !

am not sure if I missed it but whrere do you buy most of your macro

Different places really..... I usally tell my local fish stores or friends to order me macros doesn't matter the cost :lolspin:...... I been getting a bit from live-plants.com for a while but I mostly had everything they have. I like looking for small bits of macros on corals and rocks at LFS,I found one of my nemastoma that way also found a really cool orange with red dots macro it was shaped and grew like a plate... Didn't last long about 4/5 weeks then I lost it..
