Chrysopterus color change

I know there was a thread about this awhile ago but I couldn't find it. Anyone know if RBTA's cause them to change their pigmentation? I have a white tail chrys that had a bright orange face, pectoral fins, and dorsal fins. He was in QT for a month and stayed that way. Then I moved him into my reef tank and he stayed that way for the first 2-3 weeks. He ignored the RBTA for the first 2-3 weeks. Now he has been hosting for the last 1-2 weeks and has turned almost completely black in a very short time.

The only real differences between the QT and the reef is lighting, skimming and the RBTA. Just curious if anyone else has experience with white tail chrys' and RBTA's.

the only evidence i have for pigmentation change being independant of anemone type is ive had chrysopterus without an anemone lose its yellow and turn black, and ive had chrysopterus allegedly with the anemone they were collected with...still lose their color.

My Chrys was almost completely black with a white tail. I moved my rbta to another tank about 2 weeks ago. During that time periord, his orange coloration on his face, dorsal and pectoral fins is coming back. Feeding, lighting and tank maintenance stayed the same. So the only difference was the removal of the rbta.
