Cirrhilabrus scottorum & Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis

So I have a small male Cirrhilabrus scottorum (Scotts Fairy) in a 75 gallon and my LFS just got in a Cirrhilabrus rubrisquamis (Red Velvet) about the same size. Do you think I'll have agression issues with the Scotts?

I have other flasher and fairy wrasse currently in the tank with the Scotts but not the size of Red Velvet. So far there hasn't been any agression issues, just the occasionaly 'get out of my way'. Also the Scotts was the last fish added to this current group.

Thanks for the help.

Don't do it. I can almost guarantee this will be problematic. You'd be putting 2 of the most aggressive Cirrhilabrus together in a tank that isn't really big enough for either of them, IMO.

Thanks, thats what I was thinkiing. Which one would you rather have?

The only other wrasse I'd like to get is a Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus how do you think it'd do with the Cirrhilabrus scottorum.

Honestly, neither. Both are too aggressive for my taste in wrasse.

Putting any other Cirrhilabrus in with the Scott's is a risky endeavor. While bathyphilus is generally pretty peaceful, you're gambling on the reaction from the Scott's.

Not a list in order, but I do have notes on most species in my guide here

It's more like "groups" when it comes to aggressiveness.

Collection hadn't resumed in the Rea Sea yet at that time. Probably should put it back in there now.

Their behavior isn't like most flashers; they act more like a Cirrhilabrus (and get as large). Terminal males haven't fared too well; you're better off buying females or sub males.
