CL hole drilling

I am having a little issue. I have figured out where I want to put my returns to the tank, but I am not sure where I want to put my pump feeds. My issue is that this tank will be a room divider, seen on both the front and back. I am using a Reeflo Dart and the input is 2". I think that instead of putting the holes on the bottom pane I am going to put them on the sides. My other issue is that the intake is 2" so I would need a 3 1/4" hole. I cannot find a glass hole saw that big. Would I be able to drill 2 smaller holes (1 on each side) and T them together to feed the pump?

Please help!!

Ok. So I have the issue resolved about the 2" bulkheads. My other issue is whether or not I should use 2 holes? My thinking is that if I did this there would not be as strong of a current around the 1 return if there were 2. Am I ok with T'ing the 2 drains to the 1 pump?

You should use two two inch bulkheads. If one ever gets blocked for any reason there will still be no restriction in flow to the pump.
