Have heard that theres are hard to keep and need turbulent waterflow. Anyone have experience with these? Just saw one at LFS and they are holding it for me. I have a great spot for it about 3ft from a Vortech 100% on Reef Crest with lots of other turbulent flow

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not recommended for reef tanks. They live in shallow tide pools or reef edges that are constantly pounded by huge waves. The only time you see them is 1-2 hrs of low tide. In order to get them to survive you would need a heavily oxygenated surge tank. My dad and I collected some years ago but was never able to keep them. Technology has changed so it might be easier to keep. They will move frequently and not stay in that spot you have picked out, so not a good idea if you are putting it into an SPS tank. They are very sticky, and not a host anemone, so it will eat anything (including clownfish) that comes in contact with it. HTH

Thanks FishWishn, I was going to pick it up today but definitely don't want it if its going to eat my clowns and move around messing with my sps. Thanks a lot
