Clam closes during day and opens at night?

My maxima extends its mantle normally when the lights are low....and is kinda closed during lights on. i will try to take pics later on...other clams extend fine. new livestock is bartlett anthia. there isn't much info on these fish out there, but are anthias known to nip? (then again, other clams extend fine)

lighting is 250 watts.

sounds like a fish is irritating it, check for pyramid snails maybe

Anthias shouldn't bother clams or any thing else.
