clam color???

Do clams change color with age or if you have one that is bleached out or not the best looking?

I dont know much about this, but they seem to change color some based on light level.

I got a blue teardrop maxima that was a deep blue when I got him, he has lighted up considerably on top, but the lowest edge thats shaded is still a deep blue.
