clam covered by anemone

I have a 3" crocea and it sits in the sand attached to a rock by it's side. My anemone recently moved and is now totally covering the clam. I like the anemone where it is and would like to move the clam. How can I detach it from the rock without damaging the clam? It's been 4 days and it hasn't detached itself. I'm worried it's going to die.

you need to move it asap.

get a sharp knife and tip the clam to one side so that you can see under it where it is atached to the rock. then cut the byssal threads as for away from the clam as you can. this wont hert the clam at all as long as you cut as far away from th clas as you can and dont tug on the clam.
