if i have 2x250 MH and 2x65 watt PC would i be able to keep a crocea or maxima. where do the crocea and maxima like to be put in aquarium(sand or rock)? also what about a squamosa?

How deep is your tank? croceas/maximas are more light demanding ( with 250's you should be fine) and prefer to be up on rocks as they are rock-boring clams , but they will do fine in the sand. Squamosas are generally easier to keep and prefer to be on the sand IMO.

I agree with that. You should have no problem keeping those clams in your tank. The crocea will love being a little closer to the light so placing it in the rocks will be perfect.

They're pretty much the same when it comes to care , makes sure you get one over 3" unless you feel like feeding it almost every day
