Clam feeding Question

I just got a small crocea (just over 2") and I understand I should feed it. I can't take it out of the tank, as soon a I set it down it attached itself to a rock that I can't move. I've read that they need to be fed phyto, but is there anything alse I can feed it, i.e. cyclopeeze, rotifers, or are those too big? If I have to use phyto, how often do I need to feed it?

You should feed your clam bright light and plenty of calcium and alk. nothing more is needed.

Read "Giant clams in the sea and the Aquarium" by James Fatheree.

I keep both maxima's and crocea's and have never fed.

I was just going to recommend that book. Its the best book on Clams and anyone keeping clams should at least have access to it
