Clam holding on glass

Well the day I dreaded finally came. Im moving and have to break down my tank. Well I have a 5 inch crocea who wont let go of the glass bottom of my tank. So whats the best way to get him off without killing him? I havent tried anything yet but was thinkin maybe ice. :confused

Same thing happened to me and someone suggested to use a razor blade and run it along the bottom of the glass. Good Luck

You have to cut the threads, it won't hurt the clam at all. Cut as far away from the clam as you can. Just donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t pull on the clam while it is attached, you can kill it.

Razor blade is the same advice I from someone. Though I never have to do it myself since I usually put a piece of rock underneath each clam.
