Clam ID please

I bought this clam on e-bay from a man who says that is it black/gold 4+ and this is what I got please comment, I am trying to get him to refund me but he is not budging

it looks brown and brown in rea life and not 4"+
I paid 53.00 plus shipping

Although I agree it's a maxima, a view of the shell profile would tell for sure.

I'm not sure why you're disappointed with the colors because it looks very nice to be, but it might help if you look at it from the top down.

Though it's almost certainly not 4" or more - probably closer to 2", that's pretty much the going rate for a 2" Maxima.

If he did not describe the auction then I would contact Paypal (if you used that payment method) and leave the right kind of feedback. Shipping it back for a refund would double the cost, unless you send it standard, then the clam for sure would not make the trip.

Ah, 4+ inches, didn't know what 4+ meant in you original post. Yeah, it does look more brown, I just thought that was your pic. I think you'd have an easier time just selling it locally if you really wanted to get rid of it.

It is not uncommon for the so-called "black" maxima's to actually be dark brown.
I would never recommend buying anything especially livestock without a picture on ebay.

It looks like the seller was measuring in centimeters when he said 4+ (I would guess-timate it is about 2 inches...max). It is a rip off even if it is an utra for that size. It is a maxima, I will bet one kidney.
