So I've had this clam attached to a peice of live rock i bought a while back. It was starting to get really overgrown with zoas so i decided to break the rock away he was attached to and move it. Seems to be doing much better now and opening up more. Just wondering if anyone knew what type this is and care/placement tips. Thanks.

Well heres a little update. I did some research and believe what i have here is actually an oyster. You can kinda tell by looking in its mouth and seeing the gills which oysters have apparently.

All clams and oysters and bivalves have gills. It does look more like a filter feeder type bivalve than a photosynthetic type. It may benefit from feedings. Covered by the top of a soda bottle in the sand put photo feast or another filter feeder food in and let it filter for some time.
