My tridacnid clam has been losing color for the last couple of days. It has been in the tank for 9 months. It has been healthy, I have noticed today that the intake is gaping its shell is not open any more than normal, I have anoter clam in the tank and it is a picture of health. I have checked the clam for snails and parasites with no signs of either, the water parameters are ph 8.3, salinity 1.023. nitrate 10ppm and temp 80.9 degrees. All corals and fish healthy. Any hints on what to do for my clam?

Hey John, how old are your lights?
Is it summer now in Australia or cold?
What is the temp before the lights come on, compared to before they shut off?
Any new corals? could be a hitch hiker. new fish, invets ect.

what type of clams are they? ( the sick and healthy ) if the bulbs are 9 months old too then i would say to start there.
