I want to put a clam in my 12G Tank. I have 72w PC and the Clam would be in the sand bed approx 11 inches from the light. Will this be ok for a small Deresa?
some folks do/would, based on the idea that derasas and squamosas can tolerate lower light- but i wouldn't- a single 175w halide pendant would bask it nicely- even 150w for that size. good luck-
Personally, I would not do it. I am sure there is someone that may have had success with that but.... Better safe than sorry. check out getting a pendant like kfisc said. the only issue then I can see is heat.
