clam pic

Ive had this clam for 4 days and its never opened much more than this any idea whats going on tested water and everthing is within range it should be.lighting is 2x250 medal halites and 4 65 pc. Cilck on gallery to see pic.

can you list all fish, shrimp and crabs you have.

i would suspect one of these is bothering the clam. try sitting way back from the tank and watch what these guys are up to.

My blue hippo loves to bite the mantles of my clams so I had to move them all to another tank of mine.You could actually see half circle bite marks in the mantles.I would get rid of him but he and my purple have been together for 8 years now.

I moved the clam up fairly high and toward the back of the tank and it is now fully open and doing well I dont think any of the fish where picking at it I think I just had it placed in a high traffic area thanks for everyones input.
