clam purchase

Does anyone have a source for unusual and/or unique clams?

I have not had much luck finding anything locally and clamsdirect.com is also a hit or miss situation. I am looking for one or two additional clams to add to my tank -- very high color blue and/or green crocea or maxima clam - or some other vibrant or unusual color. I do not want anything too small as their survival rate seems low. Please comment with any suggestions. I am looking in the 2.5 to 4 inch range as that seems to be safe and my luck thus far with them has been very good. Thank you.

Not sure but Coral Connections gets some in every now and again. Might also try Ichtys in Oldsmar....It's a drive but you could hit several good stores up that way....

Once in a while Venice Pets has colorfull clams. It's pretty hit and miss though. You might want to call Alan the owner to check on inventory.

K-D Ocean on state road 70 next to Publix near I-75 had several good sized clams when I was there on Sunday. Its right next to gecko's

If you're driving up to Ichthy stop at Rockin Reef on the way, they had a large assortment (probably 15) when I stopped in today.
