do you guys think a clam would do good in my setup? its been setup for 2 months. i have a 72g tank with 2 14k bulbs 250 hqi 2 96 atinic bulbs. tested my water today and this what i got
ph 8.1
alk 10
nitrate 0
nitrate 0
mag 1110
cal 420

the only issue that may arise is the magnesium. Closer to 1200 would be better just to make the calcium more readily available for quicker shell growth. Everything else looks great!

I'd hold off on a clam for another 4 months or so, especially if this is your first tank. They can be somewhat delicate, and you really want a more stable environment, which you're just not going to have with a 2 month old tank, even if it may look like it right now. Then, you'll want to look into what type of clam you want. Your lighting should be sufficient for just about any of them, though, so you're off to a good start there.

i would wait until your tank is a little older. i would wait for another 4 months also. that is usually when your tank goes through its complete cycle
