clam set up?

In the near future I want to keep some clams.... the tank is 25 inches deep, and I have two 175 MH and I want to put a 3rd should I go with 250 in the middle or could I get away with another 175 and put the clams up a little higher up...

It is a deep tank so I would recommend the 250w.

The higher the wattage the deeper the penetration. Go with the 250 and put the clam up in the rock if it is a crocea.

thanks...... if the 250 is in the middle, do you think the lighting will look to bright just in the middle? It might blend in because the tank is not long only 48 inch.

It will blend. 250w are not always brghter, they just have a higher PAR. The spectrum in the center of the tank will be off a bit, but my 3 coralife 10k all like a little diffrent.
