Clam sliming

My crocea looks like it is sliming. I don't have a camera so I can't take a picture, but it looks like slimy strings with little bubbles going up from it. What can I do to stop this. Everything else about the clam looks good. Nitrates are a little high right now, just put in an ASM G2 skimmer to replace my old one, but it was sliming before the new skimmer. All other water params are fine other than nitrates (about 20)

if it just slimming right now and the mantle is extending fine , i wouldn't do anything just yet. the elevated nitrates aren't anything to worry about with clams(at least not at that level). is there any why to get some one else to take a pic for you?
