I came home at lunch time to what I thought was a disaster. My 90 was cloudy with brownish green water. This morning before lights on it was fine. The girl that cleans our house said it was like that right after the lights came one. The tank smelled like Joe Patty's seafood at five o'clock in the afternoon. I fired up the diatom filter and it's cleared up now. I tested for ammonia, zero also. The fish were swimming and looked fine, my 2 clams were closed up and didn't look well at all.
Now everybody looks happy, the clams are extended fully, zoa's are open etc. Is it possible one of the clams did a number when the lights came on? That's about the only explanation I can come up with. No anemone's or anything else in the tank.
Oh, inhabitants,
1 small RedSea Sailfin
1 med Fox face
1 6 line
1 Lawnmower blenny
3 Chromis
2 emerald crabs (I hope)
3 peppermint shrimp (I hope)
1 Large maxima clam (9 to 10 inches long?)
1 I think derasa (lots of scutes on shell)
large plating monti, couple of other montis, various zoa's, hermits, snails.
Thanks for reading, any input appreciated.
