clam viewing in typical tank

this is my first time on this forum so i apolagize if this is a question that has been aasked a million times, and search isnt working. anyway, iam getting ready to switch tanks. from 29 to 75. i got a crocea at the top of the 29. what are some good ways that i could orientate him so that i can get the best view. when i first got him, i had him turned toward the front glass, but that wasnt the same as looking down on him. are there any alternatives to having a shallow, view-from-the-top tank?

I have mine with the foot side flat on a rock...the mantle is not facing straight up....but angled out..it seems to be how they sit naturally and angels the mantle out so that if you are standing next to the tank you get to look right at the mantle...looks good..better than top-down IMO. Sorry if that's not exactly what you asked.

I like mine proped up like grimmjohn is saying. So instead of the clam being just flat, it's kind of at an angle towards the glass. This lets me see the entire mantle better and the colors tend to look a little closer to the top view. The key is getting the clam to stay the way you want it, mine take whatever position they want not matter how many times I move them.

mine sits just like that but i have him so high up now i cant get a good angle to see the fluroscent colors. when i move him to 75 i guess ill try to get him lower so that i have a better angle. when i first put him in he was more like \ . and he was lower in tht tank almost verticle. you could see the colors well if you looked from an upward angle. but that made it almost a 90 degree angle to him, which would be looking from the top of the clam pretty much
