Clam with ferric oxide?

I read in another post that having a clam with iron based phosphate remover is not a good thing. I just got a Crocea clam yesterday. I use ferric oxide to remove phosphates. Does anyone know if this a problem? TIA for any help.

its not having clams with iron based PO4 removers is bad, but having clams that might have a protozoan that is excited by the iron thats bad. rinse the PO4 remover very well and give it a shot

Thanks for clearing that up for me. So far my clam is looking pretty good. A little stressed from the move I think, but all in all looks ok.
