Clam

I had my tank set up for about 6 months when I bought one. Crocea clam is doing great here it is 8 months later. Added a Derasa 2 months ago.

Uh-oh. I don't think I can have one. I have read (correct me if I'm wrong) that gobies and clowns will nip at them.

Depends on the type of clown and/or goby. But, my tank was looking pretty stable after 3 months so I tried a small crocea (3-5 inch). did fine, still looks great 4mos after that. Now I've got a small derasa (2-3in), a small squamosa (2-3 in) and a bigger Ultra Crocea(5-6in). All doing great. No fish bother them, except my jawfish who always seems to tunnel under the large clam.

Also, be sure you have enough light.

just a quick question.... just got a new squamosa..... will it harm the clam to be touching anthelia?? the polyps gently rub against the clam he doesnt seem to mind but i was just wondering.. i mean i have seen clams touch LPS.. just wanted to check though.. Thanks..

thanks everyone!
derasa - 9 months old in the tank under 260W of PC has grown about 1.5" larger in that amount of time.
