I have a 125 gallon tank with 440 watts of vho lighting...
I know everyone is saying LOTS OF LIGHT, MH....

Would my setup be okay for clams? Water param are great...

What kind of clams would be good for me??

thanks!

IME You will be able to keep squamosa's and derasa's alive but their color won't be so great. I never tried crocea's or maxima's under VHO's so I can't comment.
MY Derasa and Squamosa was 20" from the VHO's

Ditto on the Squamosa. I've got roughly the same lighting with a Squamosa 24" below the surface and it's growing well.

If you could get a Maxima up high in the tank, it'll probably be fine but the color may get pretty washed out. I've been debating whether or not to try one in my tank or not.

i have a 125 with 3 175 mh and 2 72 in vho i have a crocea that is deep blue and it is on the rocks and hes doing very well , if i were you i would invest in mh that way you can keep the more colorful clamd plus some sps if you want and not have to worry about not having enought light :)
