So yesterday i picked up a really nice Crocea and placed it on the rocks next to sme Xenia. When the clam is open the xenia and it touch. Is that going to lead to trouble?
Are there certain corals you want to keep clams away from?
xenia is fine.
clams are very resistant to coral stings. only corals i can think of that are potent enough to disturb a clam may be bubble corals and frogspawns. definitely keep them away from anemones though.
Thats good advice ez, but I have a large Gigas the lives right next to a large 8" frogspawn, they touch most anytime the clam is open maybe I'm just lucky?
Here's a pic:
Frogspawn on the left and there are mushrooms on the right that always touch the mantle and the clam never pulls it back
