Clams and hermits

I have 2 Crocea and 1 Maxima, and NO crabs of any type in my 180. Is it safe to put red leg , or blue leg hermits with clams?

Yes, they will not bother the clams unless they are dying.

Thanks. I have always liked hermits, they make the tank more interesting to watch..not as boring as snails, and I think they will clean the rock better than snails too.
