Clams are spawning and water is milky! Help!

Hi. My clams are spawning and my water is milky and I can't figure out if I should leave it alone because it's not too bad or do a water change? If they are reproducing then it could be cool, but I don't want it to foul the water for my acros. I have about a 150 gallon clam & acro tank. Anyone have advice/

make sure your skimmer is clean and working top notch. as EZ said i would do a 25% 30% water change and add some fresh carbon.

what was the last change you made to the tank?

most of the time a spawn is caused by some type of stress(in our tanks)

what you have to worry about is the die off of the gametes(spawn). it will cause a bacteria bloom and take up all the O2 and suffocate the tank

I'm sorry to steal your thread but could you scoop some of it out and put it in another tank and try to raise the clams? This might be a bad idea but just thought i would ask LOL!!

Crank your skimmer to run wet. Do water changes. Watch your fishes. If they are breathing quite hard you'll need to step up the water changes. Congrats and good luck.
