Clams & LPS

I want to get a small Crocea and place it high in the tank. However it would be next to a Tourch and Green Hammer Coral. Will an LPS Sting my clam?

i have never had any corals bother any of my clams.... i work at a lfs and we have clams next to frogs and hammers

yeah, i wonder myself, my clam was relatively close to my hammer for weeks, he actually moved there himself. You can see it in the picture below.

i was thinking of adding a crocea clam and putting it where the galexia currently is, right above the tourch.

I had a large galaxy sting a Crocea.

It did some serious damage to the clam. The clam quickly went downhill and later died. While I can not be 100% certain it was completely the sting that caused its demise, I remain very suspicious.

The galaxy has now been removed....

From what I understand, as long as there's no physical contact, there's no problem. I just recently read something to the effect that clams are almost immune to chemical poisoning from corals.

my clams haev been in contact with my hammer, open brain, and a bunch of other softies...no problemo. My clams actually bounce around until they gain light dominant position compared to which ever coral they are fighting for space with....cute little suckers... :)
