Clams

Hey guys. I wanted to get your thoughts on clams. My fiance is wanting me to get one but I've heard alot of horror stories about them. Mostly being they are over priced and die easily. Anyone here had luck with them? Could you give me some pointers?

My current tank setup is a 110 gallon with LEDS. I believe I would have more then enough light for them.

I've had one for a while, got it from another reefer, did great in my tank until i had complications in my tank move and it died. Was a great addition and will be adding 2-3 to my tank once i get situated.

If you want one I'd try a derasa.

I have a squamosa that I picked up at Dr. Macs when I drove through. He's doing fine. But I have 250w of MH lighting over his side of the tank. I think the 1st important thing is to get a healthy one. If it doesn't look quite right, it's probably not doing well to begin with and they are impossible to bring back.
