HELPPPPPPP!
My clarkii clowns justlaid eggs in the past couple days. I am possibly going to try to hatch the eggs . I know I need rotifers, etc but wonder how long til the eggs hatch. I also have a coris wrasse that is trying to get to them when the anemone retracts allowing them to be exposed.. Any good sites you can guide me to. I realize it may already be too late for me to hatch these but since this is the first ones I have seen I may be ready for the next ones. I have had these 2 for about a year and were little and unmated when I got them.
Can the eggs be moved away from the parents to a different tank this soon or do the parents have to tend to the eggs for them to hatch?
Will post pics later, Thanks, Scott

The eggs should hatch on the eighth night (i.e. if they were laid on Thursday afternoon, they most likely will hatch Thursday night next week). Of course it is highly dependant upon temperature, in warm water it can be as little as sixth night, cooler water it can be the ninth or tenth night. Best to let the male tend the eggs and then scoop them out or siphon them out gently the night they hatch. Joyce Wilkerson's book is excellent and a must read. Hoff's book is also great. Clark's clown's were the first ones I raised. I am typing this while I'm waiting for my Clark's nest to hatch, should be any minute now. They are a blast to watch mature. Good luck.
