Clarkii Take Over???

I have a pair of clarkii clown fish that live in a rbta, the female almost 3 1/2" long, male 3"ish. over the past 4-5 days I have notice them chasing everyone in the tank. I watch them (especially the female) chasing my 2 yellow tanks, royal gamma, firefish goby, 6line wrasse, kole & lavender tangs and chromis.

This normal for clarkii's? Or everyone else getting too close to the rbta even though the two clarkii's swim across the tank to chase everyone?

Normal for clarkii.

They are bast**ds. My buddy has two. He just bought 2 bangaii cardinals and a copperband and the Clarkii's beat them all to death within a day.

I tried to add a yellow tang and my Big Mamma O"Clown and mate abused the crap out of the poor tang. When I saw her with the whole tail in her mouth I put the tang back into my quarrantine tank.I lost a yellow longnose butterfly because my yllow clown goby was also relentless with it.

I agree. Eight great tomatoes in a little bitty can.

Well.. had to tear down my 120 gallon tank due to the center brace breaking. So... I bought a 92 gallon corner tank to house everyone till my 180 gallon gets put into my basement wall (few months down the road). Had those 2 clarkii's for 7 months now, their new home has been up and running for 3 or 4 weeks now and in the last few days the clarkii's are trying to run the asylum. :uzi:

A 92 cant house the same amount of fish as a 120. So either rehome some of the fish or expect some casualities

Mst of the fish are under 3".. not like they are all monsters, lol. The female clarkii has seem to claim down today.

Not a bad idea moving some to the sump, my peppermint shrimp needs some company.

When even ocellaris clowns can be territorial in defending their anemones, you are asking for trouble! A. clarki is just a big damselfish with all that goes with that. I think only a Premnas Clown could be worse. Prepare for more battles!

Sincerely,
Matthew

I actually just found out what is happening, My 2nd BTA finally appeared after after weeks of being moved, he is the main cave (passage way thru the rock work) were all the fish swim thru. Lucky he is attacked the gravel and not a rock, hopefully I can get him out of there and move him.
