clean glass before siliconing baffles

i'm not sure if siliconing is a word or not but anyways i'm going to be installing my glass baffles in my sump today and the tube of AGA silicon says to clean the area with alcohol before i use it.

Do you guys clean with alcohol before i silicon these baffles in place or should i just not worry about it?

It should be clean, but I don't think it's that huge a deal. Just wipe the whole thing down with a rag and some vinegar.
