Clean Up Crew : How Many???

I have 20 gal tank with about 30 pounds of live rock and recently added two clownfish. I have sand and crush coral at the bottom of my tank.

I have started to see the crush coral developing a black film. I believe this is from the clownfish waste.

What is the best CUC that I can add to make my crust coral look white again??How many should I add.

Thanks for your help!!!!

id start with Mexican Turbo Snails, few hermit crabs, deff Nassarius Snail.

Do you have a protein skimmer? it would help a lot with fish waste.

A black film sounds like more of an algae or even a bacterial problem.
Personally I like the smaller trochus, cerrius(sp?) and margarita snails along with the nassarius snails for the sand.

A brittle star is a nice addition (not serpent stars they can be too aggressive).

I try to stay away from hermit crabs, even the small ones. One reef expert described them as tiny reef terrorists. The good thing is that they have a varied diet and with eat the easy stuff to get like uneaten food and algae. The bad thing is that they have a varied diet and once your tank is established and there isn't that much extra food around, they start going for snails, polyps, etc. Their pointy little legs also tend to irritate the heck out of your corals when the crabs are looking for food.
